Maria Prassas is an Associate professor at Harper College Dental Hygiene Program.  Maria earned an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienist and Northeastern University in Boston MA.  Maria has a certification of advanced studies in Oral Cancer Research from Harvard Dental School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital from Boston Massachusetts.  She has earned a Master’s Degree of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Illinois at Chicago and Master of Online Teaching Certification from University of Illinois at Springfield.  Maria is also currently employed as a Senior Dental Hygienist at Northwestern Dental Center for the past 30 years.  In addition Maria is a clinical board examiner for the Central Regional Dental Testing Licensing Board.
