Lori Serna-Pate, a New York native, has over 35 years of experience in the dental field, with a career rooted in microbiology and infection control that began during the HIV global pandemic. She earned a degree in Microbiology from San Diego State University and graduated as a Dental Hygienist from Loma Linda University in 1997. Throughout her clinical career, including 15 years practicing overseas, she became a trusted OSHA and infection control resource. After relocating to Maryland in 2015, she founded Dental Training Solutions in 2018, providing compliance analyses, OSHA staff training, and continuing education seminars in infection control approved by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. A Certified Dental Infection Preventionist (CDIPC), Ms. Serna-Pate is both a Maryland Board and DC Dental Board CDC compliance inspector, has presented for MAGD, MSDA, and other dental organizations, and remains an active member of active the ADA, ADHA, and the Association for Dental Safety.
