Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive overview of peri-implant diseases, focusing on the identification, classification, and management of peri-implant health, mucositis, and peri-implantitis. Participants will learn to recognize the distinct characteristics of these conditions and apply the 2018 American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Classification of Peri-implant Diseases in clinical practice. Through case studies and practical assessments, participants will develop the skills necessary to evaluate dental implants for signs of disease and understand the risk factors and contributing elements that can impact implant health. By the end of this course, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge to effectively prevent, diagnose, and manage peri-implant diseases in their patients.
