Course Description
This webinar will review oral histology and basic concepts in pathology. The participant will be able to identify normal versus altered oral mucosa as well as common oral pathologies likely to be encountered in a general dental practice. Identification and treatment options for both peripheral and central lesions will be discussed. The nuances of oral cancer will be discussed as well as current clinical practice guidelines for the use of adjuncts for early detections of potentially malignant lesions.

- Understand concepts in pathology, such as inflammation, infections, auto-immune disease, and neoplasia
- Become familiar with the identification and treatment of common oral pathologies
